WC cross-country has impressive regional showing

The WCHS Trojan cross country team is off to state!

Webster posted an impressive second-place finish on Saturday in the annual Class 2A, Region 1, Cross Country Championship held at Muhlenberg South High School in Greenville.

Calloway County won the team title with 55 point while the Trojans finished second with 74.

The Trojan squad will travel to Lexington this weekend to participate in the 2008 KHSAA Kentucky Cross Country Championship held at the Kentucky Horse Park.

WCHS freshman Jon Ashby led the charge with a seventh place finish overall out of 71 runners in 17:08.34. Trey Tapp blazed to a personal best time of 17:32.86 to finish in 11th position while junior teammate Chase Stone was right on his heels in 12th place in 17:33.11.
